Privacy

In force from 3 October 2026. barnyardbreeds.com is a set of plain reading pages about farm breeds. There are no accounts, no forms and no comment boxes, so the only things that ever reach us are the ordinary page requests and any email you decide to write.

The host

Pages here are delivered by Cloudflare Pages, so every page request passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare therefore sees the IP address the request came from, the page asked for and the browser's own description of itself. Cloudflare processes this to deliver pages and to block attacks, and its handling is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. We have not turned on Cloudflare's Web Analytics for this site, so we receive no reports listing who read what.

Your browser's storage

We never place a cookie. The pages also leave local storage, session storage and every other browser storage area untouched.

Third-party code

There is no JavaScript on the site, ours or anybody else's. The two typefaces, Old Standard TT and Manrope, are copied onto this site and served from it, which means no font provider sees your visit. You will find no adverts, video players, social buttons or tracking images.

Writing to us

Mail addressed to hello@barnyardbreeds.com is passed on by Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail account kept by the person who runs the site. We read your address and your message in order to reply and, when you have spotted a mistake, to correct the page. Google stores that mail under its own privacy terms. We do not add anyone to a list, and we do not pass messages to other people.

Where the outside links go

Besides the Cloudflare policy above, the only outside links lead to the online catalogue entries of the old books we quote. Once you follow one, the site you land on applies its own privacy rules, not these.

Children

Nothing is gathered from any reader, so there is no separate arrangement for younger readers.

If this changes

Should visitor statistics or advertising ever arrive, or the hosting company change, the new setup will be written up here, under a new date, before it begins.
